Adjacent to Shirley’s Coffee Shop on the first floor of the Century Hotel is TRIBES, our new bar offering a wide-screen TV, superior audio system, and a delicious selection of specialty cocktails, martinis, wines, imported and domestic beers.
Intimate and cozy, contemporary and somewhat unique for Saipan, TRIBES took great care in the selection of comfortable furniture, fun colors, and special lighting and native artwork. The unique space offers a combination of different and friendly seating places for people of all different “tribes” to mingle. Guests can help select the music they want to listen to on a Bose sound system.
TRIBES has created some signature drinks we’d like to tell you about! One is called “The Village”, which features a set of 4 vodka drinks served on a tray in geometric shot glasses. We’ve also created a fun martini menu featuring such items as the “Flame Tree”, named after Saipan’s famous red-flowered tree. The “Century Cosmopolitan” is a refreshing treat with fresh calamansi and cranberry – or for the smoothest sip in the house, order the “Gray Goose 007”.
Wines by the glass or bottle are kept at ultimate temperature in our wine chiller. Try the delicious “7 Deadly Zins” or the “6th Sense Sirah”, as well as favorites from the vineyards of Ironstone, Kendall Jackson and Robert Mondavi We also stock a deliciously dry Gloria Ferrar Brut for those who like a little sparkle!
TRIBES serves a collection of tantalizing chasers, with local flavor. Only at TRIBES, our menu includes a zesty signature banana flower dish with coconut, blackened “Zulu Tuna” with sesame, buffalo chicken, several different types of local kelaguen with titiyas, a quality cheese plate that goes great with wine, and more. Fresh Tinian pepper is available for those who like to spice up the local dishes!
